[Fox is still out and about investigating, putting all of his nifty equipment to good use as he's dealing with the recent appearance of the monsters. When he finally takes a break, it's to catch up with things in general as well as family.]

This might sound like a weird idea, but has anyone managed to capture or otherwise contain one of those beasts? Whatever they are, they could potentially be worth studying. I know I'd find the added information valuable for the S-Files. [The "S" standing for shift, of course- this stuff has always interested him a great deal.]

Beasts and the strangely vivid dreams... I wonder if these things are connected, and if so, how? I mean, it can't be a coincidence they're appearing at the same time, right? The dreams themselves are still troubling. Last night's felt like it was really happening.

[Filtered to family- Jonathan, Andrew (?), ...and yes, even Squall]

How are all of you holding up? You'd better not have gotten yourselves taken away anywhere in all of this mess.

I wouldn't mind at all. Most assistance the better, I'm sure.

In the case of these phenomena, definitely... I'm Fox, by the way. I don't remember if our paths have crossed before.

I don't think we have.

I'm Gem McCoy.

It's good to meet you, Gem. It's especially good to meet someone who's just as interested in the Shifts as I am. People tend to just take them for granted since they're a natural phenomenon. But I think they're pretty interesting to document and observe.

They are part of our history...it should be chronicled for that, if nothing else.

Exactly. We can try to learn from what we've experienced in the past, if nothing else. Besides, it's interesting to try and examine what happens for any notable patterns.
