[Fox is still out and about investigating, putting all of his nifty equipment to good use as he's dealing with the recent appearance of the monsters. When he finally takes a break, it's to catch up with things in general as well as family.]

This might sound like a weird idea, but has anyone managed to capture or otherwise contain one of those beasts? Whatever they are, they could potentially be worth studying. I know I'd find the added information valuable for the S-Files. [The "S" standing for shift, of course- this stuff has always interested him a great deal.]

Beasts and the strangely vivid dreams... I wonder if these things are connected, and if so, how? I mean, it can't be a coincidence they're appearing at the same time, right? The dreams themselves are still troubling. Last night's felt like it was really happening.

Studying one of these creatures would be desirable, but the risks outweigh the benefits, right now.

I was curious on making a history of them, myself. To find patterns.

Yeah, that was why I had a feeling I'd get a lot of "what the hell are you thinking?" answers, or at least a lot of "no." Have you noticed anything unusual about any you might have encountered?

Not in particular. [They still die when they scare her daughter. Period.]

Good condition or not, I'd be interested in what you've observed. And in having a good look at it, for the record.

Yeah, ever since- well- it's been a few years now, that I've been observing the shifts closely and keeping them on file. Patterns are exactly what I'm looking for. This latest one, though, it's really throwing me off.

Would you be interested in an assistant, perhaps?

I had three under my custody. All dead sadly, after a little training session.

My squad was studying them.

Hm, I wonder if they're even connected at all to the dreams, in that case... It would mean we're experiencing two shifts simultaneously if they're not, which seems unlikely.

Then, you believe the creatures have come to Luceti and will stay?

Andrew's with me! [At least I am assuming so because I think Shikki's unexpectedly RP-dead right now.] We're staking out that empty house -- nobody's claimed it all week! I think we can start getting your stuff in here without worrying about getting caught.

I haven't captured any, but I have been monitoring them ever since they arrived.

[Funny she'd say that... he keeps dreaming that he'd worked with someone, in some far off nonexistent world.]

If you don't mind that there's one more along in the mix. My younger brother Jonathan and I have been doing a lot of the work together throughout the years. But I'm definitely interested in getting another perspective on things. Especially after this latest one.

What have you and your squad observed so far? Anything especially striking about them?

What have you observed about them? I'm always interested to hear what other people are noticing.

When the shift ends, you don't think they'll disappear.

[She says this as more statement than question, still working around the idea he doesn't think they are necessarily part of the shift.]

Well, it's probably as others have told you. They're not interested in us, as long as we leave them alone. They seem to be searching for something or someone, but who...I'm not sure.

Searching. So you also got the impression that they were here for some kind of... oh, I don't know, some kind of a purpose?

Right now, I'd say it's only a theory, but it's at least possible that it could happen. I can't put my finger on it, but something is bothering me about them... Like they're here for a specific purpose, almost?

Yes. We've never seen them before, yet suddenly they're all around...and they linger, yet have no interest in us. They must be here for a reason, perhaps to hunt someone. That, or keep someone from coming here.

I don't think we can assume that so easily. We need some form of proof.

So the next thing we have to consider- aside from why they're here- is who sent them... Something isn't adding up right about this.

By the way, do you mind if I also ask you about your experience with the dreams?
