[Fox is still out and about investigating, putting all of his nifty equipment to good use as he's dealing with the recent appearance of the monsters. When he finally takes a break, it's to catch up with things in general as well as family.]

This might sound like a weird idea, but has anyone managed to capture or otherwise contain one of those beasts? Whatever they are, they could potentially be worth studying. I know I'd find the added information valuable for the S-Files. [The "S" standing for shift, of course- this stuff has always interested him a great deal.]

Beasts and the strangely vivid dreams... I wonder if these things are connected, and if so, how? I mean, it can't be a coincidence they're appearing at the same time, right? The dreams themselves are still troubling. Last night's felt like it was really happening.

Ok. I'm mostly curious about what people have been experiencing. If you don't feel like going into detail that's fine... I just want to know, was there anything about the dream itself that struck you as odd? Like, say... people in strange contexts, or places?

Well...there was one person in it that I've never met before, but he was very...central to the dream. I would have shrugged it off, but a neighbor of mine dreamed about him, too. The details matched.

Really? You have no memory whatsoever of this person? They weren't one of those who were lost in the fighting or anything?

No. I've never seen them before; I'm certain of it.

Yet in the dream, did you have some sense that you did know this stranger?

Yes, I did. I knew him very well.

Yes, actually. There were several, none of which exist here or that I've ever seen before in my life.

Where could these places and people be coming from?

No, I don't. If they were normal dreams, it wouldn't matter, but since this is obviously a Shift, I wonder....

An especially odd shift, if you think about it. We had all that displacement when it started, then the dreams and those monsters...

It's all so...random. Usually, they're a lot more cohesive, even if unexpected and inconvenient.

Exactly. It makes me wonder if there's something unusual about this one... but it's hard to say for sure.

[After all, they're a natural phenomenon. It's not like someone is out there CAUSING them or something. But of course you have the Great One, who is essentially treated like a deity, and if deities are in charge of the Big Stuff...]
