most_unwanted | The Lucetian X-Files

Welcome to the Lucetian X-Files, as compiled by Special Agent Fox Mulder. This is his attempt to research Luceti and uncover the truth behind its mysteries.

All files are all written on regular paper, kept off-journal and locked up in Mulder's room. For the most part they're just on basic, looseleaf paper, for the time being handwritten (woe for a computer!) and stuffed into folders. All the files are decently organized according to category and file number, despite sometimes differing in quality, depending on Mulder's mindset at the time (he's trying to be professional here, but damn is it easy to get personal when you don't have people to report to). Currently, one file is missing from the collection- the File labeled X-20071017- 4.

OOC notes are listed here and there as applicable and oocly links are provided to give a reminder/context for the events being described.

Duration: Six Days

Description: An experiment with mostly environment effects, with doors leading to the wrong place, the landscape shifting dramatically and at random, the sky being the opposite of how it normally is, rain falling upward instead of down... Even the animals were affected, talking a hell of a lot more than usual. The trees were particularly vocal (see additional file). Journal communication was often mixed up, with words being replaced unexpectedly. Overall, nothing worked as it should have.

Commentary: Talk about malfunctions. I couldn't get off my ceiling for pretty much the entire duration. Observations of the sky were fascinating though, it was eerie but pretty cool to look at. The animals related some relatively embarrassing stories about themselves, too.

I had a very unfortunate tree encounter, explained further in its own file.

Yeah, that's right. Tree Gossip. I wish I was making that up. The trees were capable of speech. How? Not even I can venture a guess. I don't think it was telepathic, exactly. After discussion, I've determined that the trees spread a mix of truths and lies about people, roughly a 50/50 split in some cases, with occasional variations such as half-truths, badly worded truths, and so on.

I shot a tree.

Yes. I SHOT A TREE.

"Mulder became obsessed with aliens when one of them beat him at a game of Stratego!"

"In a past life, Mulder was none other than Elvis Presley!"

"I heard that Mulder has deeper feelings for Scully than he lets on. He's even tried to kiss her back home withOUT the aid of any experiments."

"Apparently there's ANOTHER woman who Mulder still has lingering feelings for back on his world. I wonder what Scully thinks about this!"
