[Fourth Wall Action!]
[Mulder has noticed the strange sudden influx of people. THIS NEEDS INVESTIGATION. He will be all over town, trying to get information and figure this out. It doesn't match anything else in his files, but he keeps having this feeling that it should for some reason. There's something to this, he knows it, some sense of deja vu... but he just can't seem to put his finger on why this feels so familiar...]

Childhood! :D Love your Mulder
[Man, what is with him and bumping into people today? He blinks and steps away from the person he bumped into now.] Ahaha, sorry! [He's rubbing the back of his head a bit with an embarrassed look on his face.]
aw, YAY! thank you! and great to see a Zidane too
It's all right, I don't think I broke anything. [Yep... looks like a 'visitor' for sure, no wings.] Were you in a hurry to get somewhere in particular?
Zidane's a shorty, I'd say around 4'7ish?
quite small compared to a six foot dude!
[There's a nice bit of sarcasm on that "happiest", naturally.]
Such a shorty next to Squall and co. /keeps waiting for Skinner to pop up here
Luceti? Hm. Is th't why you have wings? [Just a guess on his part since he's seeing people with and without 'em. He did note the sarcasm though.] So was that a good or bad welcome? [Have a grin]
lmao he is, lots of dissidia people are so TALL. also would love love love a Skin-man XD

Mr. Mulder.

[He'd wanted to discuss what was going on and see what she made of it. She'd surely have an insight he hadn't thought of, maybe something which could help him understand this situation better.]
I think you're getting to see one of our regular "experiments" firsthand... though you've got me on what it means.
[He's still in the middle of figuring this out.]
no subject
[ But why integrate those without wings to those with them? Unless there is something more apparent behind it that neither of them knew. ]
no subject
[So very troubling. Mulder can't stop that part of his mind from screaming "SOMETHING FAMILIAR" about that winglessness.]
no subject
The majority of them seem to be just as confused about it as we are... but I'm unclear on the significance of being brought in in the first place or if they have any memories of being experimented on prior to Luceti.

Maybe their enclosure is being renovated. [He says dryly, as he tries to puzzle out what their state really means.] They might have developed something other than wings for these new people. Maybe something internal instead.
[Of course, how could they even verify such a thing, lacking any sufficient equipment to run any scans for implants or the like...]

All I have figured out is that it may be some sort of way of taunting us. Those who run this place reminding us that we're trapped here, unable to leave against our own will. Similar to how one embassy or country may taunt another to ensure who has more strength over a situation.

Still, it doesn't feel like that is the only reason to do this, even if taunting us is one of the main reasons.
no subject
...Except I really can't see how turning us into animals or rewriting our histories or enhancing our most annoying traits has anything to do with getting us out of here. Mistakes have happened, of course, but that doesn't explain the intentional experiments.

[Action]
He turns to the source of the voice...]
Mister Mulder, it is well to finally see you.
[Action]
[The experiment can wait for a few moments. Right here and now, Mulder is face to face with his ultimate childhood idol, and he is... so astonished and excited. He feels like he's eleven again. With a grin he's sure is rather dorky, he makes the appropriate hand greeting.]
It's a pleasure to meet you in person, Mr. Spock. This is something I always thought I could only dream of.
Re: [Action]
What do you make of the odd activity Luceti is experiencing?
[Action]
Oh, that. It's... a bit unsettling, to see so many people here who don't have any wings. I'm trying to develop a theory on why that is. None of them so far appear to have any knowledge of being from another enclosure...
Re: [Action]
Indeed... I have had the opportunity to question a few of these new individuals as well.... and it would seem that their appearance is most likely a shift.
Odd though it may seem. Another unexplained phenomenon that this world seems to provide on a regular basis. [For an avid scientist, it was a bit frustrating.]
Perhaps you would be willing to set aside your research for the time being, and join me for 'lunch'? [This may have sounded awkward, only because Spock was not used to asking people such things.]
[Action]
[For now, he'll just have lunch with Spock and attempt to keep his geeky fanboying to a minimum. Ahem. Yes.]
I'd be more than willing. All of this observation and theorizing makes a guy hungry.
Re: [Action]
Perhaps you would be amenable to going to Seventh Heaven? [Spock gestures down the path...]
I recently met someone from your universe.

Re: [Action]
...Miss Scully suffered a most unusual Malnosso effect.. I hope she has recovered from it.
[Action]
[Though he thinks it could have been a lot worse.]
Anyway, I'm glad you met Marita as well. She helped me a great deal back home, on a number of very difficult cases.

Are you all right? You look a little bit lost.

Where is this? It's not near Fabul, is it? I have to get to Baron, so I can't stay here.
no subject
[He has a hunch that this is only a temporary situation, though he can't figure how long. A week, likely...]
What's this "Baron" like?
no subject
[She looks at him a little hopefully, waiting for that to trigger any news.]

Or maybe it's both. Okay, definitely both, because Nyancat is back for round two, only this time it's closely floating along after Mulder as he investigates around town, quiet as can be.
Closer... closer... riiiight behind him.]

[Mulder knows he damn well better trust his instincts. So when he feels like something is WATCHING... Well, his instinct is basically to look UP, first, in case of some pesky UFOs. But then he glances around on the ground level, and eventually turns...]

Nyaan.
['sup, bro.]

[WHY IS THIS ODDLY FAMILIAR? It's like this day has been one surreal recurring dream.]
So. [Let's be nonchalant.] What planet did you come down here from?
no subject
well. okay. that would be kind of creepy since it's a living poptart but... yeah.
It tilts its head to one side at the question, blinks, and begins drifting off backwards away from him. The faint trail of rainbow colors follows in its wake. Silly FBI agent, cats can't talk!]

OH MY GOD WHERE IS THAT RAINBOW COMING FROM?!
