Looks like someone knew exactly what I wanted... or should I say, needed.
[The image focuses on a poster on the wall of Mulder's office area in his apartment. There are a bunch of other things pinned to the wall as well- mostly his own notes, and other things of interest he's collected over time here. But the poster is clearly the focus of the picture. Finally, Mulder moves in.]
Did anyone else catch sight of that sleigh in the sky on Christmas Eve? I know I saw something up there, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a spaceship. This time.
You see... on my world, Santa Claus is a mythical character believed in by children... but I'm starting to wonder now if there might be something to that supposed legend of good old Saint Nick. It would explain the freaky little elves who were running around demanding things, too.
[Believing in children's fantasies is a bit of a stretch even for him usually, but after his sighting and the gift he wonders. Sure, it's just as much possible it's some trick of the Malnosso... but would that matter right now with what this means to him? He glances back to the poster. Back home, it had been burned up in that fire, along with a great deal of his work. Having it back gives him a feeling of hope and renewal.]
Maybe that's what Santa- or someone- wants to tell me. To keep believing, to never give up. It's a very different message than I'd have gotten from a fruitcake.

May I inquire as to your name?

[He peers a little bit closer. He was absorbed in thought, but now that he looks closer... whoa... talk about familiarity!]
And who am I speaking with?

It's an honor, a real honor to meet you, sir. You have no idea. [Ok he can't contain some of the excitement about this. And he also notices the unfocusedness in his eyes, which is rather concerning.] Have you been here in Luceti very long?
no subject
...but that couldn't be possible. He's a Vulcan.
"You have no idea"...]
It appears not... but please refer to me as Spock. I have been here for approximately four point two months... a rather interesting experience thus far.
How long have you been in Luceti Mister Moulder?
no subject
[OH GOD HE'S REALLY TALKING TO SPOCK!]
It's... I mean, is it very different here, than what you're used to?
no subject
Indeed it is. I am not accustomed to being held for such an extensive period of time against my will in such... curious conditions. Though I have experienced much while serving Starfleet, the freedom that the Malnosso believe they have with us is rather disconcerting.
I am currently blind due to their... curiosity regarding Vulcan physiology.

[After all, their effects may be temporary, but the psychological issues from these experiences are often longer lasting.]
Are Vulcans very different from humans? [He asks mostly to confirm how much the shows got right of the details. Why not? He may learn something new.]
no subject
Indeed... Vulcans differ greatly to that of human physiology. [Spock's head tilts...]
Though I am curious... what of Vulcans are you aware of, as you seem to have previous knowledge.

Indeed?
[Mulder would have done well on the Enterprise..]
Perhaps when I have regained my sight, you would be amenable to meeting in person? I would be most interested in learning about experiences.
no subject
Would I ever. [Oh god, he feels like a gleeful kid again, watching his first Star Trek episodes and getting into the series. This is amazing. All of the awful things he's experienced here, it was all worth it for this moment.] I would be honored to meet... whenever you're up for it, of course. I know how their effects can be.
hahaha! That was amazing! XD
That would be well.
I will contact you when I am once again with sight...
[Spock lifts his hand in a Ta'al...] Peace and long life to you Mister Mulder, until next we meet.
hahaha yay I'm glad it was! XD
[And he holds his hand in the same salute, it doesn't matter whether it's seen or not.]
Live long and prosper.
