[The first day, his room had been just like his office back home. Nice and cozy, and made him miss it. But on day two, Mulder wakes to discover that his room is an Antarctic... paradise. His teeth are chattering like mad as he goes off to head out.]

[Following days: Until the final day of the event, Mulder will be running around town in pursuit of Alien Bounty Hunters who appear to have quite literally invaded Luceti. He's noticeably not carrying his gun although he's got it on him since he knows there's other stuff around. Instead he's wielding this pointy steel weapon.]

Whoa! [Ok, very impressed. Mulder stares in awe, before remembering, he's still got one more enemy to catch. He looks at Mercury thoughtfully.] I doubt even the near-indestructible aliens I'm after would survive that...

Our mission is also to protect the planet from those sorts of dangers.

Would you mind coming with me and incinerating a couple of aliens?

[Mulder gestures ahead, ever mindful of what she's just revealed.]

...Who- what- are you, anyway?

[Pedantic, she thinks for a moment that 'incinerate' is an odd choice of word for ice and water powers. She doesn't say so aloud; she simply agrees.]

[Mulder continues along, cautious and listening for sounds of anything moving in the corn... they won't be able to stay hidden for long if they're out there... and he's sure the one -or possibly two- still are nearby.]

[WHY HAS HE NOT YET HEARD ABOUT THIS? Mulder's mind is totally racing with thoughts on what this implies, what it means for the whole universe.]

Do you retain memories of those former lives of Mercury?

[She shakes her head no, but answers yes.]

Sort of. I remember it, but vaguely. It's not very clear. And for a long time, I didn't remember it at all.

But you still inherit the powers... Do you do a lot of fighting, typically?

[Mulder is surprised at how closely-guarded she's been about this, but can understand reasons why she would be.]

I'm a soldier. Of course I fight.

[Which leaves open the question of what she thinks she's doing trying to become a doctor.]

In between living a regular life on earth?

[Though, Mulder can imagine it being... easier to balance those lives out here in Luceti, than back on earth if her version of it is entirely the way his is.]

More like, we had normal lives after our enemy was defeated.

...Could that enemy show up here one day?

[It's an obvious answer, given Luceti.]
