[There's a quiet crunching sound before Mulder speaks up, sounding thoughtful.]

Show of metaphorical hands. Or antennae, whichever you're partial to: Who here has been kidnapped for a special one-on-one date with our captors? I'd like to arrange an off-journal meeting to speak about your personal experiences if anyone happens to have some free time. It shouldn't take long, just a few minutes. I'll be hanging around the shops in town most of the day, I've got some... supplies I've been meaning to find. [Still looking for a basketball, woe and alas.] We can always head elsewhere from there, though.

I understand that it's a sensitive topic for most people, and it's all right if you'd rather not talk about it. Or if you'd rather be anonymous, just slip a note under my door detailing anything you can remember about the experience itself. Anything at all, before, during, after. Your answers will be kept in confidence. I'm in Community Building 7, Floor 2, Room 10.

I'm not exactly normal myself, but I do remember them electrocutin' me. Or somethin' that felt like a static shock anyway.

Ouch. When you say you're not normal, what do you mean?

[Thinking now if the abnormality is something to do with what they were testing.]

I'm special~ It's a detail I ain't comfortable talkin' about. Even though the experiments are a general thing, they do seem to specialize once they spot somethin' different. I mean, there are plenty of people who ain't human here, so I figure they'd be tested slightly differently.

[Mulder nods, he's interested, but at the same time won't push for details on that.]

What about any side effects you may have experienced?

It was painful whilst I was there, but by the time I arrived back inta the village I was just tired. I s'pose fatigue would be the only one? If there are any others, then I haven't come across 'em yet.

Good to know. This information is helpful, I'm noticing a lot of variation so far. Is there anything else you remember about the incident?

Unfortunately not, it was quite a while back now and my memory ain't as good as it used ta be. Sorry I can't be of more help to ya.

No, that's perfectly fine. Most if not all people don't have clear recollections of their experiences... which is a lot of the reason why I'm compiling as many of them as I can.

Are ya gonna share your findings? I'm sure there are people who'd like ta know just what goes on, and then there's those who'd rather live in ignorant bliss.

I've met plenty of both kinds of people...

But yes, I'd like to have these findings available, to anyone who'd be interested in taking a look at them and possibly uncovering something that was overlooked. I would of course keep personal names out of it.

This wasn't filtered, so if anyone wanted ta check they'd be welcome to. I didn't exactly say anything I wouldn't mind people knowin', we're hardly alone when it comes to the kidnappings.
