My own personal delusion involved the belief that I was from Gensokyo. I had no recollection of living in the human world, having crossed over as a child and then being taken in by Reimu's family.
Due to 'growing up' in Gensokyo, I had absorbed a little bit of magic myself, enabling me to make use of items such as spell cards. I was by no means as strong as a youkai, but I managed pretty well.*
I had the same basic personality, including an obsession with the unknown. In this case that "unknown" consisted of the human world and its objects, with which I lacked familiarity. I was still interested in investigating and understanding the world around me, and had memories of accompanying Reimu on a few youkai-busting missions. I also helped her guard the border.
Reimu had become a sister figure to me throughout the duration of the experiment. I have a feeling these residual feelings might linger, the same as the past experiment of this nature.
*This would be a good place to note that any changes that people experienced were similar in nature. There was a loss or gain of powers due to the circumstances that people supposedly grew up in, but importantly, there were no DRASTIC alterations that didn't come about as a natural influence of the environment. We all still remained physically ourselves despite these environmental changes. My partner Scully, for instance, believed herself to be oh god this never stops being hilarious a magical equine with human speech. She herself did not BECOME one, despite this belief.
