[Mulder has noticed the horrifying thing about the latest wave of newcomers, and it's really starting to get to him. There's got to be some kind of twisted Malnosso logic at work, right? And a reason why all these wingless people are still alive and well?]

What happened to all of these New Feather's wings?

[And with that, Agent Mulder is heading out ALL OVER THE PLACE to investigate and check out what kinds of newcomers they're bringing in. Maybe he'll find some kind of pattern, a method to their madness... OR NOT.]

[She's either insane, or she's truly distanced herself from her former self that much. It's not a time paradox; her world went very differently.

She smiles pleasantly as her eyes drift to Mulder's hand.]

[Ok, so he's starting to have a little confusion over this. Isn't Kain her husband...? Uh. Future husband? It's not even so much the kidnapping thing- Mulder could definitely profile Kain as psychologically unstable. But. How is he some kidnapper to Rydia as a little girl? Alternate universes, maybe.]

I think I've heard some of those names around the village... but I don't know of any recent kidnappings. [By villagers to other villagers anyway.] Your Rosa might be safe and sound in her house.

[Or as safe as it gets, but damn it she's just a kid without a family, let's not make this more awful. Mulder heads to the store, holding the door open for her.]

I'm probably not as versed in them as your average voodoo high priest, but I like to think I know a thing or two about them. It's part of my job to know about zombies.

[Yup. This is standard normal stuff for him.]

As for the Malnosso, well that's something else entirely. They're scientists who use us in a series of tests, things that alter our bodies, minds, the environment... They're responsible for these wingless people somehow.

[Mulder is trying, trying so hard to proceed with care on this. It's not like he can exactly arrest her, and he's seen what Ami... what the regular Ami can do. He remains tense, unwilling to back down but not going to try anything too rash. Yet. Maybe. For the real Ami's sake he isn't just going to let this go.]

How could you just kill your other self like that? Who else have you harmed?

[She frowns slightly to herself, with the effort of remembering.]

However, Tsukino Usagi also died on my sword. [The one she does know, the name engraved in her no matter whether from love or vengeance.]

[Yes, ok, that probably makes no sense considering he's rambling about zombies.]

I investigate the unexplainable cases, the ones that defy science as we know it on Earth... the ones that have a paranormal explanation. So it's... not just zombies I've dealt with.

[Well it does look pretty tasty... EXCEPT FOR THE BEING ATTACHED TO A CAT THING. He so wants to bring it home to Scully and dare her to disbelieve in its existence.]

So. Do you have any other tricks, or is it just the uh... the rainbow?

Well... sometimes when people come here, they end up having to stay for a while. If she got here before you, she would have found a place to settle down. Probably with... what was his name, Cecil?

[Mulder gestures around.]

All the clothes are free for the taking, grab anything that catches your eye.

[Those eyes... THOSE EYEEEEEES.]

[Ok, fine. Mulder is just going to... close the blinds. For a moment. Just closing them and pretending he's not seeing those eyes staring soullessly back at him...]

[Lalala not doing anything in particular, just going to sit down here and munch on sunflower seeds.]

[...but he can't resist and steps over to peer outside after a few minutes.]

[By now, the moon is casting an eerie glow on the horse, casting a large shadow onto the ground below it. And still, it continues to stare.]

[Spookier and spookier. Mulder keeps having a bad feeling about this, like there's more to it than meets the eye. Maybe he can scare it away?]

[He draws out his gun and fires a few warning shots toward it.]

[Yeah, he catches that. He's so unsure about these Non-Feathers, he doesn't even know where to begin speculating. Clones. Evil doppelgangers. Some other messed up experiment...]

The real Ami would never harm a friend.

[She'd hate telling Mulder it, but the Ami he knows has hurt Usagi, and her other friends, even in Luceti before she healed.

This one simply remains flippant.]

I got tired of being that way! Besides, I have no intention of letting that girl go unpunished.

[Free? Such an odd concept, but Rydia doesn't waste much time. Glancing around, she grabs what her tiny arms can reach, taking a look at everything. She eventually settles on some boots that are just slightly too big for her, and a cloak that definitely is...but it looks warm, at least.]

Okay! I'm done.

[He just nods.] SFPD. Homicide. [He gestures with his notepad to the zombies.] Not sure whether this is quite my jurisdiction, but I thought I'd investigate.

So, ah... what part of the FBI is that?

[Cute. Mulder grins a little, but at least she's protected from the elements now.]

[Mulder has been just "it's supernatural so it's in my jurisdiction" about all of Luceti. He sees no problem in stretching things.]

It's called the X-Files. All of the cases no one knows how to classify were marked under "X", which kind of stuck from there. [A bit of a mischievous look...] I'm not exactly the Bureau's most popular.
