[The first day, his room had been just like his office back home. Nice and cozy, and made him miss it. But on day two, Mulder wakes to discover that his room is an Antarctic... paradise. His teeth are chattering like mad as he goes off to head out.]

I keep wondering if I can get into it, would I still be able to find anything? I know it's not really home, but if it's an exact replica...

[Following days: Until the final day of the event, Mulder will be running around town in pursuit of Alien Bounty Hunters who appear to have quite literally invaded Luceti. He's noticeably not carrying his gun although he's got it on him since he knows there's other stuff around. Instead he's wielding this pointy steel weapon.]

"Shapeshifting," you say? Tell me more about them. MOs, known weaknesses, whatever you find relevant.

Right. [Mulder is all for getting long-winded on these guys.] They're known to take on that human form I described as a 'default' look, but they can easily morph into anyone they've seen. Their blood is toxic and highly dangerous to humans... and it's green. Exposure to it is fatal if immediate action isn't taken about it. They usually go around dispatching of clones and other entities, but they get orders sometimes too... I've had them come after me in the past. Their strength is well above average.

They can be harmed, but anything that does harm them only slows them down... The only way to actually kill them is by jabbing them in the base of the neck. Back home, I was led to this weapon for that specific purpose.

[He nods attentively.] So they're limited to humanoid forms, then? Their purpose is just to blend in?

[He falls tensely quiet at the prospect of killing them, though. Particularly if they're not inherently hostile creatures themselves.]

That's right. They blend in so that they can more easily sneak around impersonating others, attacking and destroying clones, other aliens, and anyone else who gets in their way.

[Well. They're very known to be hostile so there's at least that?]</small.

To what end? Do they have any perceivable motives?

To get rid of anyone who threatens them or their plans.

Right, but what are their plans? Is it worth our time to be worrying about them right now when there are dragons flying around?

Right now? They'll kill anything they come across. They get rid of anomalous entities, so... I'd say they're enough of a threat that they should be dealt with. I figure I may as well be the one who takes care of those... though I know there are more than enough dangerous things out here right now.

You're saying they'd consider us anomalous. Sounds like fun.

Is there anything you'd need to make it easier on yourself?

I've got everything I need to deal with those guys... but I'll let you know if there's more. Especially since there are plenty of other things out there to contend with, too.

[And Mulder is thinking it might be wise to carry little things to ward off or destroy as many malign supernatural things as he can.]

[He gives a brief nod.]
